Long distance trains remain cancelled in Bihar
Patna, Oct 23 (UNI) Following largescale damages and obstructions caused to the railways during the violent protest by students against the recent assault on Biharis in Mumbai, the railway authorities cancelled running of major long route trains in the East Central Railways, specially under Danapur division.
Sources at Danapur divisional headquarter of the ECR said here that the major long route trains included Rajdhani express, Garibrath, Sampoorn Kranti express, Danapur Jayngar intercity express, Howrah-Patna Janshatabdi express, Varanasi-Sealdah express, Vikramshila express, Amritsar mail and Amritsar express remained cancelled.
The sources said in view of the situation improving gradually, some other long route trains were rescheduled. These include 2395 Zyarath express, 2391 Sharmjivee express, 7092 Patna Sikandarabad express and 0515A Rajendranagar-New Delhi Puja special.
Plying of the remaining trains originating from Patna, Danapur and Rajendranagar terminal, cancelled earlier, have resumed. Other trains passing through the division were also being run under full security cover.
