Lok Sabha Speaker releases Monograph of Madhu Limaye
New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today released monograph, Madhu Limaye in Parliament: a commemorative volume, at a special function, held in the Parliament House annexe here.
Releasing the book, the Speaker described Mr Limaye as a "great democrat and a avowed socialist, well-known for his deep understanding of various issues facing the nation..." Shedding light on his characteristics as a parliamentarian, Mr Chatterjee described Mr Limaye as "articulate, effective and forthright, yet amiable, whom members heard with great respect''.
He said Mr Limaye's life depicted a "saga of unblemished character, honesty, discipline, courage, sacrifice and truthfulness.'' Speaking on the occasion, Lok Sabha Secretary-General P.D.T.
Achary said Mr Limaye was a veteran freedom fighter and a dynamic leader of the socialist movement in the country. He symbolised simplicity, austerity and high moral rectitude, Mr Achary said.
The Monograph portrays Mr Limaye's multi-splendoured personality, his firm conviction as a parliamentarian and his ideals in public life.
