Langer to play for All Stars team

By Staff

Sydney, Oct 23 (UNI) Former Australian Test opener Justin Langer will play under his former team mate Adam Gilchrist for the All Stars' team in a Twenty20 match against ACA Masters slated to be held at Brisbane on November 20.

''I am really looking forward to playing for the All Stars and the opportunity to play on the big stage again,'' Langer was quoted as saying in The Daily Telegraph.

''It will be fantastic to play alongside Gilly once again, and with former team mates and guys, I used to play against at the domestic level. I am sure it will be quite a show,'' he added.

Cricket Australia (CA) and the Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA) are still finalising the line-ups. The teams will be named the week before the All Star Twenty20 match.

However, All Stars skipper Gilchrist said,'' I cannot reveal who is going to be playing, but I can tell you it's going to be a fun and fast game to start the summer of cricket -- certainly worth returning for.'' UNI XC RKM AK HS1851
