All-party students' wings call Bihar bandh on Oct 25
Patna, Oct 23 (UNI) The students' wings of almost all political parties today gave a Bihar bandh call on October 25 in protest against attack on Bihari students in Maharashtra.
Students' wings of JD(U), RJD, NSUI, LJP and NCP took out joint protest march to vent their anger over the attack on Bihari students and exhorted all sections of society to cooperate in making the bandh a success.
Addressing the students associated with various political parties after the culmination of the protest march here at Dak Bunglow crossing, the leaders demanded stern action against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena(MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray and Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray for 'inciting' their supporters to attack on Bihari students.
The leaders said those behind the Maharshtra incidents were anti- nationals and they should be booked under the sections of offence relating to sedition.
The attack on Bihari and other Hindi-speaking students were posing serious threats to the unity and integrity of the country, they added.
'' We appeal to all MPs from Bihar to raise the issue in the Lok Sabha and disrupt the proceeding of the House to protest the Maharashtra incidents,'' the leaders said and warned those going soft on the issue would not be spared.
The leaders warned that any political party opting for alliance with Shiv Sena during the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in Bihar would be boycotted by the masses.
