Advani-Rajnath to kick off BJP campaign for Assembly polls
Jaipur, Oct 23 (UNI) BJP Prime Ministerial candidate LK Advani, party president Rajnath Singh and other prominent leaders will participate in a huge congregation-Vijay Sankalp Mahakumbha-here on November 6 marking the formal launching of the party campaign for upcoming Assembly polls.
Representatives from party's every polling booth committee will participate in the meet, party state president sitting MP Om Prakash Mathur said.
Massive organisational preparations were being made for the huge congregation. The preparations were reviewed at series of meetings held at the party state headquarters here today.
Members of Rajasthan Council of Ministers, party state office bearers and Media Cell activists participated in the meetings, Mr Mathur said.
Prior to the Jaipur meet, meetings would be held in each of the 200 Assembly constituencies on October 31 for ensuring smooth coordination among partyworkers, Mr Mathur added.
The state president also condemned remarks of a Muslim Political Council representative Dr Taslim Rehmani against Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel at Ulema meet in Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh four days ago.
Demanding Rehmani's arrest for his comments, Mr Mathur also criticised Congress for the latter's silence over the issue.
To a question, Mr Mathur said the first list of the BJP candidates for December 4 Assembly elections in Rajasthan would be announced after November 6.
