50-yr-old businessman killed in manhandling
Mumbai, Oct 23 (UNI) A 50-year-old businessman died after being allegedly manhandled by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists in the eastern suburb of Bhandup.
Police said here today that over 20 MNS workers yesterday, led by Dadasaheb Survade, had gone to the shop of Lalji Ramsunder Yadav at Ramsurat Yadav chawl, Bhandup and forced him to down the shutter.
While Yadav was closing the shutter, Survade, Siraj Shaikh and other MNS activists manhandled him. As a result, he fell down there itself and later was admitted to the Asian Heart Institute hospital, where doctors declared him dead on admission.
The wife of the deceased, Dularidevi Yadav (45), lodged a complaint against Survade, Shaikh and other MNS workers.
A murder case has been registered, police added.
