Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 22 (UNI) The officials of anti corruption bureau (ACB) caught red-handed two officers of the district rural development agency (DRDA) while accepting a bribe of Rs 800 from their colleague yesterday.
According to the sources, the complainant Anant Devidas Shinde, who works in the same office as an extension officer (industry), wanted to get his bill of Rs 8,400 of a travel allowance cleared.
In this regard, he had repeatedly requested the accounts officer of DRDA Ravindra Sali to clear the same. However, Sali demanded 10 per cent cur from the bill amount as a bribe for himself and his colleague Baliram Ganapat Ghuge, the extension officer of the agency.
Mr Shinde then lodged a complaint against the duo with ACB, which laid a trap on the premises of the DRDA and caught them while accepting the bribe amount, the sources added.
