Hyderabad, Oct 22 (UNI) South Central Railway will run six special trains between Secunderabad-Rajkot-Secunderabad to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Diwali holidays.
However, the authorities cancelled the Hatia-Secunderabad-Hatia durga pooja special trains leaving Secunderabad on October 25 and November one. Similarly, the Hatia-Secunderabad special train leaving Hatia on October 23 and October 30 was cancelled.
A railway release said the special trains between Secunderabad-Rajkot-Secunderabad will run as follows.
Train No 717 Secunderabad-Rajkot special train will depart from Secunderabad on Wednesdays, 29th October, 5th and 12th November, 2008 (3 trips). Similarly, in the return direction. Train No 718 Rajkot-Secunderabad special train will depart farm Rajkot on Fridays on 31st October, 7th and 14th November, 2008 (3 trips).
Train No 717 Secunderabad-Rajkot special train will depart Secunderabad at 1450 hrs and arrive Rajkot at 2000 hrs the next day.
In the return direction, train No 718 Rajkot Secunderabad special train will depart, from Rajkot at 0500 hrs and arrive Secunderabad at 1030 hours the next day.
Enroute, the special trains will halt at Begumpet, Tandur, Wadi, Gulbarga, Solapur, Daund, Pune, Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasal Road, Valsaid, Suraj, Vadadora, Anand, Ahmedabad, Viramgam and Surendra Nagar in both the directions.
