Sixth Maharashtra state police duty meet commences
Pune, Oct 22 (UNI) The sixth Maharashtra state police duty meet was inaugurated by State Director General of Police A N Roy at SRPF ground at the Ramtekai here today.
In this four day duty meet, 19 Police teams comprising 32 inspectors, 29 assistant inspectors, 46 sub-inspectors and 236 constables are participating in the competitions.
State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), pune additional director general of police S P S Yadav told reporters that six competitions would be conducted for testing in the investigation skills and professional excellence in the policemen. The competitions include scientific aids to investigation, police photography, police videography, anti-sabotage check, computer awareness and dog squad.
Mr Yadav said the best of the inspectors and constables would be selected for a six week special training camp from where the best performers camp would be included in the Maharashtra Police team for the All Indian PDM at Bangalore on January 3, 2009.
The closing ceremony will be held on october 25 and Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil will be the guest of honour on the occasion, Mr Yadav added.
