Six BSF jawans injured in accident at Samba
Jammu, Oct 22 (UNI) Deputy Commandant among six jawans of Border Security Force (BSF) were injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling was hit by a speedily driven truck on Jammu-Kathua National Highway at Samba, sources here today said.
''The jawans, including a Deputy Commandant were injured when their official Gypsy was hit by a truck near Bus Stand in Samba district last evening,'' sources added.
Police have seized the vehicles and registered a case against the truck driver identified as Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Panodi, Jullunder.
The injured jawans have been identified as Deputy Commandant Himanshu, Din Dayal, Din Pal Singh, Farooq Ahmed, A H Sababa, and Sheikh Parvez (all constables).
Three of the critically injured, including the Deputy Commandant were referred to the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital.
