Ranchi, Oct 22 (UNI) Security was beefed up in view of People's Liberation Front of India's (PLFI) 24-hour ''Jharkhand bandh'' call beginning mid night tonight.
Senior police offificals here today said patrolling had been intensified and additional forces deployed at sensitive areas of the state.
The PLFI called for the bandh to protest the killing of one of its cadres - Sikanddar Gop - recently at Chatra.
Police said special care would be taken for railway property, which the ultras usually made easy target.
