No change in DasMunsi's condition: still on life support
New Delhi, Oct 22 (UNI) There was no improvement today in the ''very critical'' health condition of Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi, two days after he was shifted from the All India Institute for Medical Sciences to the Apollo hospital, hospital sources said.
''The medical condition of Union Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi remains the same. He continues to be on life support,''a statement issued by the hospital authorities said.
Doctors at the Apollo hospital, where Mr Dasmunsi had been brought on Monday morning from AIIMS following a request from his relatives, had described Mr Dasmunsi's condition as ''very critical''.
He was admitted to AIIMS after a complete left ventricular failure last Monday.
Mr Dasmunsi was brought to AIIMS after he complained of breathlessness, due to lung congestion and complete left ventricular failure.
The senior Congress leader had earlier suffered a heart attack on July six while on way to Kolkata from Malda after attending a meeting.
He had undergone an angioplasty and stenting of two coronary arteries in a hospital in Kolkata.
