LS stalled, RJD demands action stern action against Raj

New Delhi, Oct 22 (UNI) The Lok Sabha was adjourned thrice today, this time till 1515 hrs, with RJD members demanding "severe action" against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray (MNS) for instigating his activists to attack north Indians appearing for railway examinations in Mumbai.

As a soon as House re-assembled at 1430 hrs after the second adjournment, the RJD members again created an uproar, raising slogans against Thackeray and his MNS. They shouted that Thackeray be hanged.

Members from Kerala, mainly the CPI-M and CPI, who were demanding restoration of the cut in foodgrains from the Central pool for the state, also added to the pandemonium, by trooping into the well and shouting slogan, 'we want justice'.

Amid the bedlam, the House passed without discussion the supplementary demands for grants (railways) for 2008-09 moved by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad.

Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel then moved the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERAI) Bill, 2007.

But RJD and Left members continued to raise slogans, and did not allow others to speak on the Bill.

As the din continued, Deputy Speaker Charnjit Singh Atwal, who was in the chair, adjourned the House for half an hour till 1515 hrs.
