IA passengers sick of ''poor'' quality food
Aizawl, Oct 22 (UNI) Passengers of Indian Airlines between Aizawl and Guwahati have complained of poor quality food served to them during the journey.
''I have travelled from Guwahati to Aizawl six times this year.
Light snacks and a bottle of water were served for lunch. I complained to the air hostess but to no avail,'' a Mizo woman and ex-MLA told UNI here today.
''When we asked for a cup of tea or coffee, the air hostess said there was none,'' she added.
Besides the food, tickets for Aizawl-Guwahati flights are too costly, compared to that of Aizawl-Kolkata,the passengers complained.
Even as the distance between Aizawl and Guwahati is shorter by 105 nautical miles than that of Aizawl-Kolkata, the cost of air tickets is almost the same, Rs 8,275 and Rs 8,285 respectively.
