HT's Chitrangda, Ability Unlimited to get Sanskriti award 200
New Delhi, Oct 22 (UNI) Hindustan Times' Mumbai-based journalist Chitrangada Choudhury, Punjabi poetess Inderjit Nandan, music exponents Ranjani and Gayatri and artist Ranjani Shettar have been named for the Sanskriti Awards 2008 under various categories.
Ability Unlimited India, a professional dance theatre group which aims at educating and employing differently-abled people through innovative choreographic works and public performances, will also be honoured with the Award for outstanding social achievement.
The awards will be presented on November 14. Magsaysay award winner Aruna Roy will be the Chief guest at the function.
Sanskriti Prastishthan, a charitable trust has instituted theses awards that are presented to young talents in the fields of literature, journalism, art, performing arts and social cultural achievement.
