Gandhinagar, Oct 22 (UNI) Gujarat Cabinet today congratulated the scientists of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for successful launch of India's maiden Moon Mission 'Chandrayaan-1' from Sriharikota.
Gujarat Health Minister Jaynarayan Vyas told newspersons here that the State Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Narendra Modi, in its weekly cabinet meeting this afternoon, cheered the giant achievement of ISRO scientists with their successful launch of the Lunar mission.
Mr Modi described the moment as the greatest historical milestone in Indian space science and commented that it was a pride moment for every Indian, including 5.5 crore Gujaratis living in Gujarat.
With this achievement, the nation has enlisted itself with elite group of nations which have ventured into the Lunar mission, Mr Modi said.
Ahmedabad's Physical Research Laboratory Chief Dr J N Goswami and Space Application Centre's director Dr R R Navalgund and their teams of scientists and engineers deserved to be congratulated for their worthy contributions to this giant achievement, Mr Modi added.
