New Delhi, Oct 22 (UNI) For the third day this week, the mercury in Delhi today continued its downwards slide, dropping to 33.2 Degrees Celsius.
Continuing the trend of a drop in mercury in the city in the run up to Diwali, which marks the arrival of Winter in the Capital, the maximum temperature fell, from 33.2 Degrees Celsius yesterday, to 32.9 Degrees Celsius.
The high humidity level of 85 per cent, however, led to a rise in minimum temperature, from 17.3 Degrees Celsius yesterday, to 19.5 Degrees C.
The coolness in the air is likely to remain in the next few days with weathermen forecasting a drop in minimum temperature to 18 Degrees C tomorrow.
The Met office has forecast a mainly clear sky here during the next 24 hours with possibility of slight mist in the morning.
