Breast Cancer Awareness campaign from Oct 25

Hyderabad, Oct 22 (UNI) City-based MedPlus Health Services, a healthcare network, would organise a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign here from October 25.

Comprising Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar and free check-up, the campaign will be held at MedPlus Clinics at AS Rao Nagar, Vanasthalipuram and Gachibowli, a release here today said.

The Breast Cancer Educational Programme, which will be held on October 25 at each location, will educate women about the risk factors for breast cancer, highlight the importance of regular personal and clinical breast examination and provide details of the options available for screening the disease.

All participants attending the seminar can schedule a free check up by a gynaecologist from October 26 to 31.

In addition to free clinical breast examination, MedPlus has partnered with Elbit diagnostic labs to offer MedPlus customers mammograms at a 25 per cent discount.

The incidence of breast cancer is increasing rapidly in India, with one in every 22 Indian women likely to suffer from the disease, the release added.
