BJP workers revolt in Chhattisgarh
Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Oct 22 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers unleashed a revolt today over a fresh face being given the assembly poll ticket for this district's Takhatpur seat.
As many as 200 workers from the constituency's Ganiyari and Takhatpur blocks reached the BJP district office here. About a dozen local office-bearers submitted resignations against former MLA Jagjeet Makkad not being given the ticket. The workers followed suit. Local party leaders confirmed the resignations.
The BJP last night announced candidates for eight of the district's constituencies and the Takahtpur ticket went to Mr Raju Kshatriya.
