Ferozepur, Oct 22 (UNI) In yet another acid attack case, two sisters sustained burn injuries when two unidentified youths on a motorcycle threw acid on them in the Ferozepur cantonment area here this morning.

According to police sources, the two sisters, Nidhi Narula and Jyoti were on their way to their respective work places when two youths riding a motorcycle halted near them and threw acid on them.

Both the sisters, residents of Panditawali Gali in the cantonment area, suffered burn injuries on the face and on their backs.

The two youths fled when they saw some army personnel approaching them. The two sisters were first admitted to the Military Hospital and then shifted to the civil hospital here.

In their statement to the police they claimed that they were not aware of the motive behind this attack as they had no enmity with anyone. While Nidhi is a junior advocate here, Jyoti is working with an insurance company. Both are unmarried.

DSP Jasbir Singh has been entrusted with the inquiry in the case. So far no arrests had been made though the cops have the registeration number of the motorcycle used in the attack.
