Situation under control in Nashik
Nashik, Oct 21 (UNI) Barring stray incidents of violence, situation is under control here after arrest of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray in the early hours of today from Ratnagiri.
According to sources, a truck was set afire near Bhujbal Farm on the Mumbai-Agra National Highway. A similar attempt was foiled near Hotel Chhan in Mumbai Naka area on the highway this morning. A truck was damaged near Vilholi. There are, however, no reports of anyone being injuried in these incidents.
Heavy police presence is seen in many areas of the city. More than 350 MNS activists including state general secretary Vasant Gite and Atul Chandak were arrested as preventive measure late last night.
