New Delhi, Oct 21 (UNI) The stage is all set for the fourth edition of the Delhi half marathon which will kick off from here on November 9.
Legendary cricketer Sir Richard Hadlee, who is regarded as one of the greatest fast bowler to have ever played the game, and Jackie Joyner Kersee, the all-time greatest athletes in the women's heplathlon as well as the women's long jump, will be joined by celebrities form various walks of life.
The marathon would also see the Bollywood sensation Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
More than 40 of the world's biggest names in long running, led by defending champions among men and women, Dieudone Disi and Deriba Alemu, will dominate this, vying for a piece of 210,000 prize pie.
The event is expected to see 25,000 people.
While breifing the mediapersons here today, director marketing and corporate communications, Fortis Healthcare ltd, Sudarshan Mazumdar, said ''We constantaly encourage active and healthy lifestyle. Running is a great form of exercising, however, we strongly feel that participating in one such run will not be helpful unless people adapt healthy lifestyle as a habit and make running and jogging a part of their daily routine.'' ''We hope that none of the participants require our services but should there be any medical emergency, we assure you that you will be in safe hands,'' added Mazumdar.
