190 cross LoC at Chakkan-Da-Bagh in Poonch
Jammu, Oct 21 (UNI) Former Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) prime Minister's son among 190 civilians swap borders at Chakkan-Da-Bagh on the line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.
''190 civilians crossed LoC in a weekly Poonch-Rawlakot bus service yesterday including former PoK Prime Minister Sikandar Hayat Khan's son, Farooq Sikandar Khan, who reached Poonch,'' official sources said.
However, 96 civilians came to this side of the border while 94 left for PoK from Poonch.
''Out of 96 civilians, who reached Poonch, Mr Farooq Sikandar was the main attraction among the visitors, who will stay along with his relatives at mendhar,'' sources told UNI.
Meanwhile, out of 94 civilians, who left for PoK, 32 visited the other side of the border for the first time to meet their divided family members while 62 were PoK citizens, who returned.
''Among 96 civilians, who reached Poonch, 46 were the first time visitors while 50 of them were Indian citizens, who returned home after meeting their relatives in PoK,'' sources added.
