Woman among three sent to police custody over headless body
Ambala, Oct 20 (UNI) Three persons, including a woman arrested in a murder case of a mason Gulab Singh, were remanded to police custody for three days today by a local court.
The Police had pleaded that the remand was required to identify certain locations and the car of the deceased which was sold to a scrap dealer of Burail in Chandigarh.
The trio was nabbed after police traced out one woman Rekha through the mobile of the deceased Gulab, whose body with chopped off head was recovered by the Police near Panjokhra village.
Rekha during interrogation confessed that she and her accomplices Narinder alias Sonu and Jagat Singh resident of Hardoi (Uttar Pradesh) had engaged the car of Gulab, who used to ply taxi of his son after office hours, to take them to a resort near Panjokhra.
On return journey, they looted Gulab and wanted to snatch his car which was resisted by him. During the brawl, they murdered him and took his vehicle. His body was beheaded and was thrown in the fields.
The Police had earlier recovered highly decomposed body but the head could be traced only yesterday.
The Police arrested the two more accused, Sonu and Jagat, following disclosures made by Rekha.
