Special team to investigate terrorist links

Kannur, Oct 20 (UNI) Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan today said a special team led by DIG T K Vinod would conduct further investigations into the arrest of a person yesterday, who was found to be having links with Kashmir militants.

Talking to reporters here, he said the necessary instructions in this regard had been issued to the special team formed to probe such terrorist activities in the state.

The government was also collecting more information about the youth from the Kashmir police, Central intelligence wing and Military Intelligence wing, he said and added that the source of income would also be probed.

He said the militants could not camp or concentrate their activities in the state, as the government and people were vigilant. However, strict instructions had been issued that the investigation should not be focussed on a particular community.
