Mumbai, Oct 20 (UNI) Jharkhand police officers today reached the city with a non-bailable arrest warrant, issued by a local court of Jamshedpur, against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Biharis.

According to reports, the warrant was issued by the court of 1st class Judicial Magistrate A K Tiwary, directing him to be present before it on November 17.

Incidentally, Mr Thackeray is on a tour of Konkan region in Maharashtra. While addressing a meeting at Mahad, he rebortedly even dared the government to arrest him.

Sources indicated that Mr Thackeray may be arrested while he is on tour.

The warrant was executed at Shivaji Park police station under which the residence of Mr Thackeray falls.

While talking to UNI, senior inspector of police Vilas Gurav confirmed the news and said that since the MNS Chief is out of station, they are not able to arrest him.

Legal experts say that the warrant can be challenged in the Mumbai court and a stay can be procured.

Over 100 MNS activists were, meanwhile, arrested in connection with the attack on North Indians, who had come here to appear for the Railway Recruitment Board Examination yesterday.
