New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) Emirates today announced 31 additional weekly flights by February next, making the Airlines as the single largest international carrier in the Indian skies which is operating 163 flights a week from 10 cities.
As part of its winter expansion, Emirates will step up frequencies from New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi in a phased manner.
''We are strengthening our operations in India, clearly depicting the country's importance to Emirates' global operations.
Our flights will offer India's business and leisure travelers and students,'' said Emirates Vice President (India and Nepal) Orhan Abbas.
He said Emirates would launch servicews from Dubai to Los Angels and San Francisco on Octoner 16 and December 15 respectively.
As part of the exapansion programme, seven additional flights would be introduced from Delhi to Dubai from October 26, increasing the total weekly frequency from 18 to 25 flights per week.
The enhanced capacity would boost connectivity to New York, London, Frankfurt via Dubai.
According to the new schedule, seven additional flights will be operated from Mumbai, three from Hyderabad, five from Chennai, five from Bangalore and four from Kochi.
He said Emirates was not facing any problem as in the case of Indian carriers, but said the global recession would have its impact on Emnirates too.
For passengers travelling to Dubai, Emirates has also unveiled a very special offer- Buy one get one free. Passengers flying economy class to Dubai can now take their companion absolutely free at a special return fare of Rs 33,600.
The airlines also offering exciting return fares for passengers to London (Rs 21,095), New York (Rs 49,995), Frankfurt (Rs 31,495) and Johannesburg (Rs 38,495).
