Patil assures to give jobs to those affected in MNS attack
Thane, Oct 19 (UNI) Maharashra Home Minister R R Patil today assured a delegation of the Uttar Bharatiya Cell of the BJP that the Maharashtra Government would give jobs to those North Indian candidates who could not give their Railway Board exams due to the trouble created by MNS activists.
More than 200 members of the cell led by its chief Mrityunjay Pandey today staged a dharna in front of the residence of Mr Patil, demanding action against the MNS activists involved in the attacks on North Indian candidates.
Mr Pandey told newspersons after the dharna that Mr Patil was in Pune at that time and came down to Mumbai and met the agitators.
He assured them that the State Government would take stringent action against the MNS activists.
He also ordered the police chiefs of Thane, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane rurals besides the DG of police, to immediately arrest those who were involved in the attacks on the candidates.
He also talked to Railway Minister Lalu Prasad in this connection and assured him of strict action against those involved in the attack.
MNS chief Raj Thackeray will also not be spared in this case, he claimed.
During the meeting with the delegation of the Uttar Bharatiya Cell, he assured them that the candidates who could not not give their exams due to the trouble would be given jobs by the Maharashtra Government.
