NC to revolt if Maoists do not comly with agreements
Kathmandu, Oct 19 (UNI) Nepali Congress (NC) Vice-President Ram Chandra Paudel said the party would revolt from the Constituent Assembly (CA) if the Maoists do not follow the past agreements.
''The CPN-Maoist has not complied with the previous agreements,'' Kantipur quoted Mr Paudel as saying while speaking at the CA meeting today post the Dashain holiday.
He warned of revolting from the CA itself if the Maoists do not follow the past agreements here after.
Mr Paudel accused the government of not following the many agreements reached between the then government and the Maoists since the 12-point agreement inked three years ago.
The NC Vice-President charged the Maoists for not prioritising the issues of returning the confiscated properties, integration and rehabilitation of its combatants, abiding the law and disbandment of its youth front Young Communist League's paramilitary structure. It had agreed to do so in the past, he said.
The largest democratic party of the Himalayan nation is in opposition after the Communist parties, including the Maoists and the UML, became able to gain majority in the CA election.
