Kolkata, Oct 19 (UNI) Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee today warned the CPI(M) not to counter the Opposition movement in an ''immoral'' way.
Addressing newsmen here, Ms Banerjee said the Trinamool Yuva Congress would march to Lalbazar tomorrow and warned that if the ruling party applied force and if anything untoward happened, the state government would have to bear the responsibility.
Yesterday, the CPI(M)'s youth wing DYFI said they would spare no pains to counter the movement of the Trinamool Congress.
''Everybody has the right to stage an agitation in a democratioc way, and they have no right to counter the agitation of the Opposition. The CPI(M) has crossed all limits of endless oppression,'' she asserted.
''The state governement should show restraint and not counter he movement of the Opposition in immoral ways,'' she stated.
''This government in association with police has for the past 32 years inflicted endless oppression on the people and spoilt the state. They lost political ground and support of the people,'' Ms Banerjee averred.
''The people of Singur are with us. Let the Tatas emulate the path of the CPI(M) and people will follow the path of the Trinamool Congress. If the Tatas take the people as bonded labourers, they are totally wrong,'' she iterated.
