Adhikari, who has been training overseas, is one of the favourites in the 100m, 200m, 400m and 1500m freestyle, while Shanbag is expected to come up with a strong challenge in the freestyle events.

Mumbai University's Mollan Fenello has maintained a low profile for a long time but will get an opportunity to make waves in her pet 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke for women.

The diving competition will be held at the Goregaon Sports Club and there will be strong competition in the high board diving for women, where Devina Devi (LNIPR, Gwalior), Neha Naik, Pooja Patil and Rupali Shinde (Pune University) and Rashika Sriram and Rupali Sigi of Solapur University make a formidable line-up.
