Madikeri, Oct 19 (UNI) The Congress and Janata Dal(S) in Karnataka will come together to foster communal harmony and peace in the state, according to JD(S) leader M C Nanaiah, MLC.
Addressing a news conference here yesterday, he alleged that the BJP-led government in the state had proved its ''inefficiency'' in all fronts.
''Karnataka has become a hub of terrorists and certain sections of the population are living in fear,'' he alleged and said that the situation called for the immediate union of the Congress and JD(s) to deliver the state from the ''danger.'' Mr Nanaiah said the JD(S) had withdrawn its candidate in favour of Congress nominee Mittu Chengappa in the MLC election from Kodagu providing a tough fight to the ruling BJP.
Calling the BJP ''opportunistic,'' he said it had steeped in corruption encourging horse-trading to continue in power.
