The state government on Saturday, Oct 19 appointed a special public prosecutor to handle the case against the former Chief Minister who had alleged that Mr Yeddyurappa had received bribes while sanctioning a housing complex for economically weaker section in the city.
The project in Ejipura in the city, taken up under PPP scheme, allowed the private builder to use a portion of the property for commercial purposes.
"I had only highlighted the wrong decisions taken by the state government and it was in the public interest. The state government will not be able to gag me," he speaking at a function here.
Mr Kumaraswamy accused Mr Yeddyurappa of practicing politics of vengeance and this would not stop him from telling the people the failures of the BJP government.
"If this government announces programmes that benefit common people I will welcome it. But I have hardly seen any such programmes being taken up by this government," he said.
