DMRC orders inquiry in Metro bridge accident
New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) today ordered a high level inquiry into the collapse of an under construction Metro bridge in Laxmi Nagar area here early this morning.
The DMRC convened a meeting of senior officials on the matter, DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dyal said.
''The DMRC has ordered a high level probe into this morning's accident,'' he said.
Meanwhile, directors of the DMRC and other senior Metro officials, who reached the site of the accident, said whoever found responsible for the accident would be dealt with severe punishment.
At least two people were killed and several others injured after a part of the under construction flyover collapsed.
A blueline bus with several passengers on boards was trapped under the debris.
