Dharmasthala records 5 cm rainfall
Bangalore, Oct 19: Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs on Sunday, Oct 19.
Rainfall occurred at a few places over coastal karnataka and south interior karnataka and at isolated places over North Inteior Karnataka.
Chief amounts of rainfall(cm): Dharmasthala 5, Sakleshpura 4, Madapura, Kudathini, Hessarghatta 3 each, Mudibidre, Afzalpur, Virajpet, Kottigehara, Jayapura, Hallimysore 2 each, Pputtur, Udupi, Nuggehalli, Bangalore HAL Airport, Tiptur 1 each.
Temperatures: Maximum temperatures changed little over the State.
They were appreciably above normal at most places being markedly above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka. Karwar recorded highest maximum temperature of 35.8 degree celsius over the state.
Minimum temperatures fell at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. they were above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and south Interior Karnataka and were normal over NOrth Interior Karnataka. Chamarajanagar recorded lowest minimum temperature of 18 degree celsius over the state.
Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
Forecast for Farmers: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of coastal karnataka and south interior karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.
Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 28 and 20 degrees celsius respectively.
