18 injured in Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 19 (UNI) Eighteen people were injured in different road accidents overnight in the Kashmir valley, official sources said today.
They said eight passengers were injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling met with an accident at Khumriyal in the frontier district of Kupwara.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals, they said.
Inanother incident, eight labourers were injured when the vehicle in which they were being taken to Handwara skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Vodipora in Kupwara, the sources added.
The injured were hospitalised and the condition of few of them was stated to be critical.
A car bearing registration number OIL-2489 hit and injured a boy named Fazal Ahmad Shah, son of one Mohammad Ashraf Shah, a residents of Kuni Gund Beerwah at Kunzar. The Police has registered a case.
In yet another incident, two people were injured when a tipper hit a car near Boatnan Colony crossing on National Highway.
They were admitted to a nearby hospital.
