Pak jet bombings kill 100 extremists
Swat, Oct 19: Pakistan security forces jet planes bombed extremists' hideouts at Barthana area in Swat Valley killing at least 100 extremists. Sources said that the bombing in the area was resorted to on a tip off about the presence of 300 extremists holed in over there.
The dead included several commanders of the extremists besides information received said that an arms depot at the house of an extremists' leader, Alamgir was also blown up in the bombing, The News reported. Sources said that the security forces on Sunday morning bombed the extremists' hideouts in Charmang area besides the jet planes also targeted extremists' hideouts at Bartana and Barar areas of Tehsil Matta, where leaping flames and thick smokes were seen overcast in the sky.
Meanwhile, furious tribesmen fired at an American spy planes flying over various areas of North Waziristan.
According to sources, the US spy planes flew over the areas of Miranshah, Dattakhel, Ghulam Khan, Razmak, Shival and other border areas in North Waziristan.
