New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) Delhi BJP chief Harshvardhan today accused Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit of deliberately stalling various development projects.
Dr Harshvardhan described it as a sign of a ''defeatist''.
''Sheila Dikshit appears resigned to her defeat in the forthcoming Assembly polls,'' he said.
''The twelve projects concerned with 2010 Commonwealth Games have been deliberately stalled so that the incumbent government may suffer from fall of grace in public eyes," Dr Harshvardhan alleged.
The BJP leader accused the state government of not constructing the Khel Gaon, flyovers, stadia, accomodation for foreign guests.
''When the Commonwealth Games are held in 2010, the government of the day may not be able to complete the projects, inviting wrath of the people. Since it is the BJP which will be the government of the day having won the Assembly polls, the Congress' design is to queer the BJP pitch as much as possible, he said.
Dr Harshvardhan reminded the people of the promise made by Ms Dikshit to make Delhi a world class city before the start of Commonwealth games.
