Man kills wife suspecting fidelity
Chennai, Oct 18 (UNI) Suspecting his wife's fidelity, a middle-aged man hacked her to death and inflicted injuries on her daughter at Radha Nagar in subruban Chromepet last night.
Police said the man Sudalaimani (41), who owned a tea shop in the locality, was arrested and remanded in judicial custody.
There used to be frequent quarrels between the couple as Sudalimani suspected that his wife was having an extra marital affair with another tenant in the house.
When a quarrel ensued yesterday Sudalaimani stabbed his wife to death in a fit of rage. His daughter who tried to save her mother sustained severe cut injuries in the melee.
She was rushed to Chrompet Government Hospital where her condition was said to be critical.
