Lawyer who filed petition against MNS chief robbed

Jamshedpur, Oct 18 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants have robbed Rs 25,000 and a laptop from the house of a lawyer, who filed a petition against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena(MNS) chief Raj Thackeray overnight here.

Police said burglars entered the house of advocate Sudhir Kumar Pappu and robbed him of Rs 25,000, a laptop, a mobile phone and other valuable goods from the Sonari area on Thursday night.

Mr Sudhir had, earlier, filed the petition against Mr Thackeray for using abusive language against the people from Bihar.

In other incidents, a laptop of Jenu Pres, a resident of Poland, was looted from a taxi yesterday in the Bishnupur area. Mr Pres had come here for some work with the Tata Steel and left his laptop in the taxi.

Investigations were on.

In another incident, some thieves looted 110 mobile phones worth lakh of rupees from a shop on October 16. Police suspected that a gang was involved.
