London, Oct 18 : As an actor, Johnny Depp's eccentricities are pretty well-known, but in the eyes of director Tim Burton the Hollywood hunk is the "perfect oddball."
The Brit filmmaker, who has two children with Helena Bonham Carter, has described the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star as Hollywood's 'greatest ever eccentric'.
Both Burton and Depp are working for the fourth time together on the remake of classic kid's tale 'Alice in Wonderland'. And according to the filmmaker, Johnny is doing full justice to his character 'The Mad Hatter'.
"Nobody plays oddballs better than Johnny and he's loving playing this one," The Sun quoted Tim, as saying.
He added: "He doesn't like to be the same way twice. That's good, he always keeps it fresh and all. He likes the material we have here and he gets it."
Depp's credit list includes legendary performances like 'Edward Scissorhands' and 'Sweeney Todd'.
