Bangalore, Oct 18 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over the state.

Chief amounts of rainfall(cm): Jewargi, Yadgir 4 each, Sulya, Bimalkhed, Basavakalyan, Gulbarga, Shahapur, Hadagalli 2 each, Panambur, Sindagi, Raichur, Alur, Davanagere, Nayakanahatti 1 each.

Temperatures: Maximum temperatures fell at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably above normal at most places being markedly so at many places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka. Karwar recorded highest maximum temperature of 36.5 degrees celsius over the state.

Minimum temperatures rose at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka, appreciably above normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and above normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka. Chamarajanagar recorded lowest minimum temperature of 19.2 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Light rain likely. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 29 and 20 degree celsius respectively.
