Vijayawada, Oct 18 (UNI) A two-day 'Gudibata' programme will be held at Kankadurga temple, atop the Indrakeeladri hill here from tomorrow to address the task of providing more facilities in about 1100 temples in Krishna Dirstirct.
Addressing a press conference today, Edowments Regional Joint Commissioner Dr S Kondala Rao said issues like creating facilities for devotees, functioning of priests, maintaining sanity, cleanliness and greenary in the temple premises would be taken up in the programme.
Mr Rao said the programme would be taken up immediately in 58 main temples in the district whose income was more than Rs five lakh per annum. .
The 'Gudibata'programme was started in July last year at Rajahmundri and later held at Kadapa, Warangal, Hyderbad and Guntur.
A rally would be taken out from the Ghat Road of the temple to the top of the hill. About 1500 employees of the 1117 temples in the district would take part in it, he said.
