Dasmunsi shows no signs of improvement, condition stable
New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi, who has been in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) since Monday, after a complete left ventricular failure, today showed no signs of improvement, though his condition remained stable.
''He is in a semi-conscious state. He is being constantly monitored by a team of doctors,'' AIIMS medical superintendent D K Sharma said.
His vital organs were stable and parameters like heart beat, blood pressure and respiration, were being maintained, he said.
Mr Dasmunsi was brought to the hospital after he complained of breathlessness, due to lung congestion and complete left ventricular failure.
The senior Congress leader had earlier suffered a heart attack on July six while on way to Kolkata from Malda after attending a meeting.
He had undergone an angioplasty and stenting of two coronary arteries in a hospital in Kolkata.
