BJP ''playing politics'' of division: Soz
Jammu, Oct 18 (UNI) Lambasting the BJP for the Orissa violence in the past, Union Minister for Water Resources and Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Prof Saif-Ud-Din Soz today alleged that BJP is ''playing politics'' of division.
''As the BJP has no future programme for the nation to give sustainable governance rather than playing politics of division it has nothing to do than criticising the Congress,'' asserted Prof Soz.
''The Congress is working to unite the nation under the leadership of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi but on the contrary, BJP is politicising various issues,'' the JKPCC president told mediapersons during a one-day convention organised here.
Prof Soz added that he had repeatedly said it is only the Election Commission of India (ECI) who has to finalise the date for coming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
''Congress
will
reach
every
doorstep
and
apprise
people
of
the
state
about
the
achievements
of
the
party,''
he
said,
asserting
''whenever
the
ECI
announces
the
date,
our
party
is
prepared
for
the
polls
and
I
am
sure
that
Congress
will
form
the
next
Jammu
and
Kashmir
Government.''
