AP attracts USD one billion investment: Minister
Hyderabad, October 18(UNI) Andhra Pradesh Major Industries Minister J Geeta Reddy tonight said the state had attracted $ 1 billion investment in the last six months.
Speaking after distributing Bharat Ratna Dr M Visvesvaraya Industrial Awards to the awardees at a function, She said ''under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Y S Rajashekar Reddy, AP is the most happening state. The tenure of this government can be called as the 'Golden era for industrialisation', as never in the past has such progress in industrialisation been recorded in the state''.
The ASSOCAM survey has rated AP as the number one state in the country for industries. The CII named AP as the best performing state in the south. The state had shown 10.64 per cent growth as against national average of 8.73 per cent and 5 per cent growth during the previous government's tenure, she said.
