Agartala, Oct 17: The Vishwa Hindu Parisad (VHP) Organising Secretary Y Raghavulu today accused Congress President Sonia Gandhi and UPA government of patronising Jihadi terrorists and non-Hindu fundamentalists, alleging that the Congress was not interested in restoring peace.

'' Despite the apex court verdict of awarding capital punishment to the prime accused in the Parliament attacks, the government, rather than executing it, is trying to mislead the nation on the issue of terrorism,'' Mr Raghavulu told newspersons.

He informed that currently more than 3.5 crore illegal Muslims had been residing in India, who came either from Bangladesh or Pakistan, ''They managed to bag Indian documents with the help of opposition political parties,'' he said.

''Both the Muslims and Christians are working on five points agenda, including conversion, infiltration and population explosion to reduce Hindu towards minority in the country. It has become rampant and the governmnt is yet to take any pro-active role, '' Mr Raghavulu rued.

He said more that 8.5 lakh Hindus were converted into Christians, during the past one year and more than five lakh Kashmiri Pundits had been evicted from the valley so far.

According to him, 40,000 Reang refugees in Tripura fell victim to the brutality of Christians.

The VHP leader held Muslim infiltrators responsible for the recent bomb blasts in Agartala and riots in Assam.

Hindus from 34 villages in the trouble-torn districts of Assam were evicted following religious atrocities on them and more than 12,000 illegal Bangladeshi migrants had been lodging in relief camps in the flood-affected North Bihar, he claimed.

''There is a clear evidence that the international Christian organisations, along with the Muslim outfits, were backing terrorism and separatist movements in the northeastern region by providing arms, funds and guerilla training to proscribe militant organisations,'' Mr Raghavulu said adding the VHP would mobilise its Gram Rakshi Bahini to reach out its campaign to the common people.
