By Staff

Kolkata, Oct 17 (UNI) New coach Stanley Rozario will face an acid test when injury inflicted East Bengal play against newly promoted Vasco SC in round four of the ONGC I-League here tomorrow.

East Bengal, desperate to reverse trend after back to back defeats against two Mumbai sides- debutant Mumbai FC 0-1 and 0-2 vs Air India, are expected to go all out against Vasco SC, a Goa side also in poor position with one point from two matches.

Vasco, lost to Dempo 1-2 and locked in 0-0 agaisnt JCT in the opener, had valuable practice today to take on Kolkata side at Yuba Bharati Krirangan in the flood lights.

Razario might find a tough time to field first line up against Vasco because of injury and illness making him a poor manager.

Goalkeeper Subrata Paul, although under treatment for his shoulder injury, might emerge fit in the side. Alvito D Cunha is out of practice, so also Brazilian Edmilson Maqrques downed with fever.

Rozario said he has to count on his available resources and exuded confidence that his side would turn back to earn full points no matter what comes in the way.

Surkumar Singh, Sunil Chettri, Suley Musha, M suresh and Yusif Yukubu are some of the key players to turn the side, hoped Rozario, who faces critical situation after home and away defeats in last two matches.

Vasco will have to depend mostly on their foreign recruits of Ravshan Teshabnev, an Uzbek who scored lone goal for the club in 1-2 defeat to Dempo in Margao in last match. Besides, season campaigners like Covan Lawrence, Minino Fernandez, Agnelo D Souza, Angnelo Colaco and imported defender Yorkin Nazrov and midfielder Sherzod Nazarov.
