Precious metals open low on Bullish advice
Mumbai, Oct 17: Both the precious metals slipped in the opening session on Friday, Oct 17 as silver eased by Rs 325 per kg, while gold by Rs 410 per ten gm, on low buying support following bearish global advice, traders in the Bombay Bullion Association said.
The white metals opened at Rs 18,170, while yellow metal at Rs 12,795. In London and Asian market a similar picture was seen as gold was quoted low at USD 811.00/812.50 per ounce (USD 837.00/838.50), while silver was quoted at USD 09.93/09.94 an ounce (USD 10.25/10.26), market report said. Following were the opening domestic spot rates: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 18,170 Gold (per 10 gm): 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 12,795 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 12,885.
