Political leaders condole demise of MCPI founder
Hyderabad, Oct 17 (UNI) Leaders of various poilitical parties today mourned the death of Marxist Communist Party of India (MCPI) founder-president M Omkar, who breathed his last today at the Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) here following illness.
In a statement, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president D Srinivas recalled the services of the departed leader for the welfare of the downtrodden. ''His services as a Legislator and Communist warrior in the state and particularly, in Warangal district will be long remembered. His simplicity and dedication is a model for the future generations.'' Sympathising with the bereaved family, APCC General Secretary Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar said the Communist leader had struggled for the future of the weaker sections and downtrodden.
CPI State Secretary K Narayana and S Sudhakar Reddy, MP, paid rich tributes to the leader, while CPI MLC P Nageswara Rao and state commitee members visited his residence and paid their last respects.
Lok Satta president Jayaprakash Narayan, in a message, recalled the services of the departed leader for the downtrodden and peasants.
